Go Tigers! Auburn University Bank Checks

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Are you tired of plain bank checks? Are you looking for a new way to support your favorite college foot ball team, the Tigers, or your favorite university? If so, then you should think about purchasing Auburn University bank checks.

A public university in Auburn, Alabama, Auburn University contains one of the most popular college sports‘ teams. On February 1, 1856 it was chartered and in 1892 it went on to become the first four-year coeducational school in Alabama. It’s name was officially changed to Auburn University in 1960 and it is widely referred to as “Auburn.” It also holds the distinction as being one of the few American universities that is a land-grant, sea-grant, and space-grant research center.

The college was closed during the Civil War mainly because most of the students and faculty left to enlist. The Confederate Army used the campus as a training ground, and the “Old Main” building was utilized as a hospital for the wounded. In 1952, a cannon lathe used for the manufacturing of cannons for the Confederate Army and recovered from Selma, Alabama, was presented to the school by brothers of Delta Chapter of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity.

Auburn was racially segregated like most schools in the south, with only white students being permitted entrance. This changed in 1964, however, and the integration went well when the first African-American student was admitted.

At present time, Auburn has over 23,000 students and a faculty of almost 1,200 just located at the main campus in Auburn. The Auburn University Montgomery satellite campus has over 6,000 students as well.

As far as sports go, Auburn is one of the charter members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Their teams are called the Tigers, and they compete in Division I-A of the NCAA and in the Western Division of the SEC. Auburn regularly wins competitions in swimming and diving, football, womens basketball, baseball and womens golf. The official colors of burnt orange and navy blue were chosen by Dr. George Petrie, Auburn’s first football coach.

Gene Chizik currently coaches the football team. Auburn was coached by “Shug” Jordan to a 10-0 record in 1957 and was awarded the AP National Championship. The teams were also recognized in 1913, 1914, 1958, 1983, 1993, and 2004. Pat Sullivan in 1971 and Bo Jackson in 1985 both won the Heisman Trophy. Even John Heisman, the Trophy’s namesake, coached at Auburn from 1895 until 1899. The football team calls Jordan-Hare Stadium home. It has a capability of seating of 87,451 which makes it the 9th-largest on-campus stadium in the NCAA.

You have two choices of checks if you would like to carry Auburn University checks- the Auburn #1 Fan checks or the Auburn Logo checks.

The Auburn University #1 Fan check series is for real fans of the game itself. These are cartoonish and humorous in nature. You can also purchase a matching checkbook cover and address labels as well.

The Auburn Logo checks show the Auburn emblem, in addition to the traditional school colors. Matching accessories can also be purchased with these checks.

If you wish to purchase Auburn checks then you should think about buying them online. With a safe website you can save as much as 50% off what your local bank might have charged you. Plus, you’ll have a wider selection to choose from.

Before you purchase Auburn Checks, go to AuburnChecks.net to find coupons and to save 50% off your next order of Auburn University Checks.

Check On Business Commerce Commerce And Educational Options

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Economists wear many different hats. They may determine fair prices for securities, goods and services. They may conduct economics research to analyze and predict consumer purchase behavior or make recommendations on policies that will strengthen our economy. Not just a few large business checks for economic headwinds.

As such, an economist may create plans to help local government officials or corporations implement plans, or are involved with business checks on capital transfers, monetary policies or global trade issues. Sometimes economists manage staff, employ individuals or assign tasks. Economists may even be called to testify at legislative hearings or regulatory commissions, where their educated opinion is valued. In essence, the academic journey of someone pursing an economics education is full of hard work and tough courses, but with salaries averaging between $50,000 and $200,000, it’s ultimately rewarding.

Other jobs for students pursuing economics education at the bachelor’s level may include Financial Research Analysts ($85,500), who gather information and determine how a company or individual should spend their money to maximize profits, or Underwriters ($63,200), who assesses new clients for potential risk and insurance liability. Management Consultants ($124,000) provide advice on the strategy, structure and operations of an organization to provide added value and improve performance. Construction Project Managers ($86,000) plan, direct, coordinate and budget the completion of infrastructure projects. Credit Analysts ($46,700) determine the creditworthiness of prospective borrowers. Banking Branch Managers ($58,500) ensure branch profitability goals are met and manage losses. Regional Sales Managers ($104,000) forecast, review inventory, travel, recruit, train and ensure that growth goals are met. These are just a few of the positions that can be secured with just a bachelor’s Degree in education economics, although obtaining higher degrees will make an individual more competitive.

Most of the growth in economics education based careers will come in the private sector, as scientific research firms and consulting firms expand. More and more emphasis is placed on statistical analysis to predict market trends for businesses. While the federal government has cut some positions, more are expected to open up in local government. Competition is fierce for these top-paying jobs, particularly for those with only a bachelor’s degree from an economics college.

The candidates with higher degrees, stronger mathematical skills and a penchant for analysis will ascend to high-paying specialist positions with ease. There is, however, strong competition for professorships and tenure at the nation’s top universities, so many economists may opt to teach at public high schools instead. The Economist, Investment Business Daily, Barron’s and the Wall Street Journal are must read resources for budding and seasoned economists.
